Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

My MP is a liberal, does it matter? are they obligated to contact the CFO on my behalf?

I'm not the guy who you're replying too but they should at least be willing to work with you since they're public servants. "Should" is the operating word there since I contacted mine who is also liberal and they never got back to me despite the automated reply.

No problem dude. I still recommend that you try and contact them since the worst case scenario is that you're in the same boat as me. Granted I should have sent mine a follow up email but I found out later that they were pretty anti-firearm.
