Bit of an odd/newbie question:

My PAL is expiring in December. Recently completed the course for my RPAL. If I submit the application for the RPAL, will I still need to renew in December? My biggest concern is I don't want to submit the RPAL and have my PAL lapse while I'm waiting.

Apply online. Eight months should be enough.
