Suggestions for a new rifle (price range $500 to $3000)

Hello all

I am thinking of getting a new rifle, preferably a semi, and want to get some suggestions from this great community we have here. It's doesn't really matter what caliber it is chambered in, but I was thinking of something that is a very common one like: 7.62x39, 5.56/.223, and .308/7.62x51. But if anyone can think of a semi in some other very common round, then by all means suggest it.

I look forward to the suggestions.

I've been asking the same question for awhile now. After seeing what the community had to say and doing some research, for under 3 grand. Seems the best reliable rifles people keep telling me are the Sterling Arms R18 if you want a solid reliable AR style rifle. And if you want something different, many people suggest the IWI tavor x95. Thats the one I decided on, the X95. Just my opinion though. Lots of options out there.
