This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Hey guys, recommendations for Newbie with PAL ( restricted and non restricted) Any suggestion for a firearm that can do that, ideally that wont break my bank 1) Target practice in the range ( if i can get into one) 2) Target practice outdoor 3) small game hunting

Derya TM22 or 10/22. Either are good starters. If you want a slightly larger starter caliber, Ruger PCC or FX9. If you want bigger, find a 5.56/.223 caliber rifle, but the price gets harder to swallow as you increase caliber.

Thanks for the suggestions, I am more interested in small calibers so I will read more reviews about Derya TM22

You wont be upset with it. I acquired one about 2 months ago and love it! They come in multiple colours, but sell quick. good luck with your purchase!
