Probably answered before but ive searched around and can't find an exact answer. I have a few rifles that were previously non restricted and are now prohibited under the new bill while only having my PAL. Do I need to register these guns? I know I'll need a transfer form to move residences but do they need to be registered first?

No you dont need to register them, they wouldn't give you the prohib 12.X anyways. If your talking from 2020 Its an OIC not a bill. Like me (I got dinged for 2) you keep em locked and await further instructions essentially. 3 years still waiting...

As for moving, a couple people have experience with how to do this. Depending where you live you could contact your CFO if you are unsure. But here is what one redditor learned when they dealt with it (info courtesy of BC CFO):

Regarding ATTs for your AR-15s, per the Amnesty Order, you do not require an ATT in order to transport your newly prohibited firearm(s) under the May 1, 2020 Order in Council (OIC) when you are moving residences. However, you must comply with the storage and transportation regulations indicated below:

· Firearms must be transported by a route that, in all circumstances, is reasonably direct;

· Firearms must be unloaded, with no ammunition present in the vehicle;

· Firearms must be in the trunk of the vehicle or not visible from the outside of the vehicle;

· The vehicle may not be left unattended.
