I applied for restricted firearms license but got only the non-restricted. I remember being told the restricted is issued when you make your first restricted purchase but still unclear what the process is like. Appreciate anyone who can explain this.

You’re issued both endorsements at the same time. The only thing that changes after your first purchase is your transport privileges and the version code on your license.

Ahh I see I was wrong thinking I had only the non restricted. On the back of the card it makes this clear under possessions listing both non restricted and restricted possession
