This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

I have read the provincial regulations for my province and I will be calling the CFO. Just looking for any additional insight. Thanks

Make sure you have a backstop and check your local bylaw. In my town we are only allowed to discharge shotguns

Interesting. I’m only planning on shooting .22lr to be honest.

Still make sure you're allowed too. My bylaw is for noise but you're not allowed to shoot any rifles

Seems to be only hunting allowed, nothing about target shooting. But what if I’m hunting tight groupings? 🤪
