Gun owner from Quebec here. I just bought an SKS and a used shotgun from gun stores, not individuals. I can't seem to find the registration number (NUAF). Is it a seperate marking or is it the firearm's serial number?

Also, is the identification number (NIAF) supposed to be marked somewhere on the firearm or is it only an online thing?

I know this isn't helpful, but I find it so weird still that you guys have to register your guns.
