This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

RPAL Renewal Timeline, Alberta;

Applied: June 5th 2022

Approved: December 22nd 2022

Printed: Sometime last week (called today, this was all I was told)

Received: Today, February 7th 2023

Printing/mailing timeline is variable. Mine was approved mid-December (16th or something), called the 16th of Jan and was told it was printed, and it didn’t arrive until Feb 6th. So that means mine was printed for three weeks or so before it hit the mail. Also AB.

Looks like everyone should expect up around 7-8 weeks for it to come after approval.
