This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

RPAL Renewal Timeline, Alberta;

Applied: June 5th 2022

Approved: December 22nd 2022

Printed: Sometime last week (called today, this was all I was told)

Received: Today, February 7th 2023

Did the RCMP actually call your references?or they call you?thanks

RPAL received in Ontario. Spoke with my references, none were contacted.

Hello, When you applied for it? Was it online or paper application?

Thanks,I sent my pal application jan23,by regular mail,,so I don’t know if they received or not..just waiting if they call my references or not,or wait a month before call them to ask if they received my application..thank you for the info
