To my fellow Albertans, I finally cracked the code on getting past the system hanging up on us.

When it asks for if you know the extension you want to reach, punch in 9026 for the Alberta CFO. I got through instantly that way after two weeks of getting hung up on on the main line.

Finally was able to get confirmation that my new licence card was mailed last week.

Can confirm this works. I can't say anything bad about our CFO staff here in Alberta, they've gotten more than one thing done for me in good time.

The woman I got on the phone today was probably the most pleasant government agent I’ve ever spoken to, it was alarming how nice she was haha.

Google points to CGN:

With the main number all backed up I thought I would give this a bump.

1-800-731-4000

NB 6000.
AB 9026.
ONT 7503.
BC 9530.
Man 8004.
Q 7005.
NS 6505.

Why TF isn't it 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000...
Because these are government employees, they don't want to talk to you!

Thank you! I’ve been digging through trying to find the AB CFO extension here. Emailed them a few weeks ago but haven’t gotten a reply yet.

This sometimes works. A few months ago while I was waiting for transfers I would still get hung up on immediately most of the time.

Maybe it's improved by now.
