Anyone having issues with shipping firearms with Canada Post lately? I’m expecting a rifle and it’s been stuck for 2 weeks with no updates. I called them and they said it’s labeled as dangerous good. But how do they even know that? Do they x-ray the packages now?

Is it just the rifle, or rifle and ammo? I ordered a Carcano from Marstar and had to have the rifle and ammo shipped separately.

But Canada Post handled the rifle no issue.

It’s just the rifle. Bought used. I don’t think Canada Post will even allow ammo to be shipped. Usually that goes through UPS I think

Yeah that's really odd then. It's going to be a conversation between the shipper and CP. Maybe they accidently slapped a warning sticker on it. Maybe call again and see if you get a different answer.
