The dome should be fun :)

If the firearms are stored according to the regulations and unlicensed individuals do not have access (ie you have all the keys), then it's really no different than you going on a long vacation. Your legal address is not changing.

Also just a follow up, say I store my guns in a safe without trigger locks, do I need to bolt down the safe?

I guess that depends on the legal definition of "safe". Personally, I would say if it can be easily lifted and removed, then it is a "container" and not a "safe". But that's just my opinion. I don't think there is a definition in the Firearms Act. Others might have more insight.
