Is it legal to have a firearm in my home without physically having my PAL with me? I am a licensed PAL holder and am capable of proving it, but the actual card is in a different city at the moment.

As far as I know, yes. I’d get the card back as soon as possible, but you would still show up in the system as valid. The card is more or less physical proof of being licensed if you were to buy ammunition or firearms.
