I honestly only wanted a handgun, thanks to the year long process to get my license, that's now probably never going to happen.

I then shifted to wanting a Type 81 and PCC, both are on the proposed ban list.

My question is: Is it even worth it for me to waste 3k plus on guns that will most definitely be banned and possibly confiscated? I'm depressed AF and feel like I wasted all my money on the license and gun safe. I'm scared to pour any more money until something definitive comes out.

How likely do you guys think these psychopathic tyrants will outright dis-arm us fully?

Just get one

Disarmament isn't gonna happen, they're like 60 years too late and there's a billion guns out there but that's not going to stop them from trying*

This is the hopium I need

It's not hopium it's literally fact. All of this is unfeasible, I'd be saying something different if the 2020 OIC turned out differently

If you did buy a PCC, how would they know? :)

I'd say it really depends on how much the money means to you vs the enjoyment vs the fear/unhappiness of loss.

How unhappy will you be if you only get 6 months to a year out of it? With only the limited data of your one post: in assuming a fair bit (but you know yourself better).

a semi 22lr is a safer bet for quite a while (and also an excellent starter gun). Consider getting a 10/22 or A22 now and wait and see how the amendment ban list plays out. I use my A22 more than anything else.

Now that the c-21 amendment has been pulled from the bill I'd change my answer to say you might as well get the center fire semis you're looking at. You'll have some time to use them!

No need to loose hope. Even if C21 passes.. once conservatives get to power I think they will allow transfers. People should be able to sell the gun in between license holders.
