Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Buyer's email should specifically state 'you are authorized to transport this firearm home'

Thanks mate. Not sure they received the certificate yet. So they need the certificate to pickup right? Although, legally, that's their problem and not mine since my transfer paper says "You are now authorized to transfer the firearm(s) listed below to the new owner".

There will be a pdf in the email, this is what I got:

Transfer Notification (Buyer)

This is to inform you that your application to register the following firearm(s) has been processed. You may take possession of them now. Your new registration certificate(s) will be sent to you in a separate envelope.

If you applied to register other firearms than those listed below, you will be informed of the decision with respect to those firearms through a separate notice.
