Runkle of the Bailey once had his application to transfer firearms "withdrawn"

I suspect it's a way for a CFO to dodge the fact they lost/forgot a file, or went way over deadlines.

If your application (for a PAL I assume) is refused, you are entitled to a s.74 hearing to appeal it. Threatening that is usually a good way to get them to either reconsider the application or refuse you properly. The CFO can't "withdraw" an application for you.

I mean, there's no reason for your application to be rejected without any sort of disqualifying factors?
