Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Manitoba here sent my pal application back in march 2022 credit card was charged June 8th. Still says “completed initial review” getting really annoyed any tips ? Should I just call ? Both my references were called back in October. And a few family members I did the Pal course with have already received their license. Thanks for any Feed back.

My application was received and they did their initial review in May. CC was charged in October. Still waiting and the application status still says “completed initial review”. Called 3 times now only to be told that it’s in the final stage and I should call back in a month to check.
