This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Never sell only buy. Every rifle I've ever sold, I've come to regret months/years down the line.

This. I sold a buddy of mine a chinese sks years back. He took it apart to put it in a stock, it didnt fit and he never put the sks back together or maintained it at all. Its rusted to shit now. I can only imagine how his svt must be doing.
