Just about to get my non restricted license and was thinking of getting the following rifles any suggestions?

-SKS(because it's cheap and has canadain roots)

-Type 81

-Some sort of AR180 variation either the...

 - Crusader Arms templar 

 - WS-MCR

 - looking at a few others (anyone know a currently in stock, fancy AR180 variant that has less QC issues than the WK180-c G2 and the MCR?)

Any input is appreciated (side note, inheritance will give me a Turkish clone M4 and a 17HMR bolt action)

Far less. One generally opts for 9mm for cross-compatibility with handguns (many carbines take Glock mags), for less recoil/noise/flash, or simply to cope because the real deal isn't legal. 9mm is generally slightly cheaper, per round, too.
