You just call in and ask. When I did, I was told I'm unable to buy guns or ammo until I had my card.

Some online stores do ask for a photocopy of your PAL. Those who don’t, it’s your call to make whether you want to place an order.

Traditionally you need your ID for instore purchases, so it’s obvious to me that the RCMP say you need to have your card for any purchase. I just assume that if I have a valid license I’m legally authorized to purchase online regardless of where my physical card is, but I’ve never obtained a legal opinion about this.

I called cfo several weeks ago and they said I can buy online without physical pal, but yeah can’t find any legal statement for it online anywhere

To correct my answer: they told me ok to buy online without physical pal, “if the store is ok with it”
