This might be a silly question, but my uncle recently gave me this shotgun and I'm not sure if it can take both 2 3/4" shells and 3" shells or only 2 3/4" shells.
The gun is:
Cooey Model 840 12GA 2 3/4" - 3 full choke Winchester proof steel Made in Canada by Winchester
I've attached a picture.
Thank you all!

Legal length reminder:
- barrel can’t be cut below 18” (18.5” semi-auto)
- overall length can’t be cut below 26”
I decided to be kind to my wrists this week and run some 1 1/8 oz birdshot.
WARNING: shells ejecting at the end may appear closer than they are

Most ranges seem to open either on weekends or afterwork hours. For personal reasons I am more free Monday to Fridays 9-4. Is there any ranges operating during this time? Thanks!

Posted the original tool here a couple weeks ago. Thanks to everyone who tried it and left feedback.
Quick update: there’s now a free iOS companion app on the App Store.
The assessment itself still lives at ssdiagnostic.com. Nothing changes there. The app lets you link your results and use them as a training tool. Log practice sessions, track which skills you’re working on, and get AI coaching suggestions based on your diagnostic profile and what you’ve been doing at the range.
iOS only for now. It’s still early and still a one-person project. The app just went live today so if something breaks or feels off, there’s a feedback form in the settings.

Thank you all for your time.

Desperately want to get into IOC shooting and get a possible C-21 exemption, does anyone know of ranges in EO that allow newbie IOC shooters and can facilitate the process?

Hi, I found a section of land in Lanark that allows for hunting in that specific area, but I'm just not too sure where to get information about the legality of target shooting in that same section. If anyone would know the answer I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello!
Does anyone know of any non-private off grid areas to setup targets for recreational shooting near Calgary?

Hey guys, does anyone know what the tactical range actually is at the Calgary shooting center? Is it a members only thing? I saw a brief mention of it on their website but there aren't any pictures or really any description of what it actually is. Thanks guys!

I found ( https://www.reddit.com/r/SmallGroups/comments/6vo9y7/200_yard_poker_free_printable_target_game/ ) post (Really old) on another subreddit and I am planning to run the game with a few friends. I figured I would share here.
I am printing on 11x17 card stock so that it hold up better on our target boards. We will shoot 50m thru 300m.
I am open to others ideas as well to change or add rules.
Our change that you can swap two shots and draw two cards from a deck after the relay. If the same card(s) that you have hit are pulled you play the hand as is.

I’ve got a single shot sb2 30-30 and I’m wanting to reload some higher bc spire point bullets and bump up the powder a bit, anyone have any experience with this? I’ve reloaded before so not green just never played with 30-30 before. Looking for flatter trajectory so I can reach out a poke a bit farther
