That's exactly the explanation I was after thank you.

Do you happen to know which guns those AR pistol mags are actually designed for? I can't recall ever seeing an AR pistol in Canada.

I think it's a LAR15. Think of an ar15 without a stock, shroud, and only a 4 or 5 inch barrel. Same mag position, the rounds don't go through the grip like a Glock does.

Looking into this apparently that has recently changed

The RCMP do not make the law.
