Question related to RPAL and handgun transfers...

I'm still waiting on my physical licence to show up in the mail (have had my PAL for years but just upgraded to RPAL), but my CFP portal has been updated and states that I am now legally able to purchase both Non-Restricted and Restricted firearms.

Do I have to wait for the physical license to show up, or can I go ahead and purchase a Restricted firearm using my existing PAL number?

I've also heard that the ban on handgun transfers has been delayed until November 9th at the earliest. Does anyone know if that has been confirmed 100%?

It's a myth that it's delayed until the 9th. It took effect October 21st.

Yeah, I did some more digging tonight and found out as much. Bummer.
