What you are not permitted to do is, even for an instant, remove whatever is being used to restrict your magazine to 10 rounds. If that is a plug (or whatever) attached to the base plate, you may not remove it from the base plate, even during cleaning.

I just ask because my G19X baseplate is really hard to remove, and I have a Kriss Magex2 kit for the magazine, which requires me to take off the baseplate to install it. It feels like there’s another step to removing the baseplate that is unique to Canadians, and I can’t do it

Easier with a steel baseplate, but Glock.

Be extra careful you don't build a magazine that holds more than ten rounds.

Yeah its pretty risky, just put it back together. I looked at the internal s of the stock magazine, no pins in it. It’s just the spring fully compressed at 10 rounds so you can’t force any more in. I also think it’s designed in a way that I can’t use the MagEx2 Kit with it. I tried to fit it, and the spring is too think that it doesn’t slide into the stock magazine it’s supposed to fit with
