This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Just got off the phone with an awesome info agent, he told me they are roughly mid august on opening mail. Hopefully my app will get looked at in a couple weeks!

My Application reads received on August 10 and my license was issued today.

Damn! That’s great. Mine was received August 9 & still just showing the initial process message. I spoke with an agent yesterday and they said it looks like they have all the proper info but it could take a few months… CC was charged OCT 12. Did you speak with anyone to speed it along?

My app didn’t get received to The 8th of September so it’s still not online for me. Nothing to do but wait

How long did it take you to get your test results? I finished the course on Sept 17/18 and I didn't get anything yet.

Took me about 5-6 weeks, from late June to early August.
