Finally got my RPAL/PAL.

Would like to buy a hand gun, still haven't received the license in the mail yet. Is there still a chance I might get one before the freeze is put on? Which one do you all recommend? What is the process behind this?

Congrats! I wouldn’t wait for card in the mail. Do the below ASAP. Freeze can go into effect any day now, and number of hand guns are low.

Call CFP and ask for your PAL #, then go online shopping.

Better yet, go shopping, put in a place holder PAL, then call in to update it once you get your PAL # from CFP

In the olden days you would go to a shop and buy the one that fits your hand.

But that was last year. ☹️

For some reason CZs still seem to be around, at least they were a couple weeks ago when I got my license. P-09, P-10 … or anything CZ. Hard to go wrong there.
