Ontario RPAL for me. Sent in July 17th. Received approval and got my license number by phone yesterday October 11th. Went ahead and purchased a p226. Seems to be about a 3-4 month wait on transfers.

Did they approve on the phone? Did you call first thing?

So I only phoned to receive my license number. I saw that it had been approved and mailed, but I needed the license number to provide to an employer, prior to the card arriving in the mail.

Transfer is still in progress, and I’ve been advised that phoning to expedite Ontario transfers will not be allowed/accepted.

Ah. Got it. I assume yours was expedited due to needing for employment?

Honestly I don’t think so. I just waited until I saw the approval and called ahead so I didn’t need to wait for the card in the mail. I assume they will do the same for everyone.

Ok. Well that's encouraging as mine was received a couple weeks after yours. Here's hoping.
