Jeez, I'm pissed off now. Very unsatisfying call with Alberta CFO.

I called on Tuesday to ask about approval for a transfer, as the seller was moving out of the country. I had a great chat with the officer, and she approved that one, as well as one that was 10+ weeks overdue.

Today, I get through, and I asked about approval for a transfer, in that the seller is selling his house and moving into a supported living facility. This time, the officer simply told me that you're just going to keep calling in and asking for exceptions one by one, they're not going to do that, and you're slowing things down for everyone else.

The first officer told me about how she feels badly that they're not able to process these orders as they had in he past. The second officer told me I'm part of the problem.

Which officer is more common?

Am I calling back next week? Oh yes, 100%.

With '10+ weeks overdue', I mean that the transfer was initiated 10+ weeks ago, and I personally feel that's overdue.

Most people are being patient, which is great. I don't want to be that asshat that wants something faster (seems only self-serving). In this situation, I want to help the seller have less to worry about in his move. Don't get me wrong; I'd love to have this in my hands. I have the next 2 weeks off work, and it would be great to get it to the range (which wouldn't happen in any case, as I wait for registration to be sent). The seller may need to store it or otherwise figure out what to do with it until the transfer is approved.

This may seem a bit odd. For a couple of private transfers, I talked with these gentlemen for some time. I feel some responsibility to do my best possible for them.

Your comments add some nuance, and I'm less frustrated now. I'll call back mid next-week and look for a better outcome.

I know most of the CFO are accommodating, but if one said no, you can always call again later to try for a different one.

I am still waiting for the ones I order in July, but since they are initiated confirm to me by CFO, I didn't ask for anything else on the phone and said thanks. I am sure many are in the same boat as well.
