Didn’t think this was going to happen! Just checked the application status and it was approved. Been checking all day and pretty much gave up!

Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued.

Timeline (Ontario): PAL/RPAL course completed: June 5, 2022 Results received: July 18, 2022 Application sent the same day Application status appeared in portal: September 28, 2022. CC charged: September 29, 2022 (had to call in as the original CC was compromised) Application approved: October 7, 2022

Hold your horses Liberals and let me buy some hand guns!

congrats. I sent in mine one week after you and just got credit card charged Oct 4. Did they actually call your references?

Nope they did not contact any references. I read that references are contacted when you make your first purchase.

Hope you get yours next week before the freeze!

That can’t be true. I went years after I got my licence before I bought a gun. I didn’t even know one of my references anymore by then.

Additionally, people are calling and getting transfers approved on the spot, there is no way they are calling references in those cases. I’m not saying they never have, but it seems rare.

I think so! Calling CFO or CFP first thing Tuesday to get my PAL # and going to go wild on whatever that’s left. Pickings are slim now but still some good stuff left.

Congratulations! I'm still waiting, cc charged on September 14th. Kinda beginning to think it'll be a very long time if at all.

How long did it take for them to send you the card after your application was approved online?
