This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

You should give the BC CFO a call. I just got my transfer approved yesterday and it was initiated on August 15.

Around 11am. There's two different messages that will prompt when you call. One will put you on hold, the other will hang up the line, know the difference before hanging up. Some people call right at 830am. Save this number in your contact list; 18007314000,1,,,,,,1,9530 . The commas are pauses for the menu selection messages, the numbers are extensions. It's a fast way of getting thru without manually dialing every time.
