Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Is it worth sending an email to the cfo(Ontario) or just to call? I got my Pal issued and not recieved but I am impatient and want a handgun before all are gone. Seen you can request your number for club purposes. Hopefully it shows up tomorrow.

Send an email, and then start calling. If you get an email answer before talking to someone, stop calling :)

Last time i emailed them i got an answer within 24hrs

Last time I sent an email to the Alberta CFO, their office took 3 weeks to reply.

Email is probably not a great bet.
