In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Yes. But it is just a "Freeze" until we elect a Conservative government.

There is zero chance of an "Unfreeze" with any other party. The Conservatives definitely intend to reverse the freeze, the real question is if they will have the political will to do it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they completely neglected firearms issues until a couple years into their term. Not necessarily a political move, but rather they have so many other things to unfuck (or try to unfuck in the way Conservatives do) first.

I would not be surprised if you are right. For most voters, the firearms file is such low priority. It is only us 2 million gun owners who care so much.
