Any must buy cleaning supplies for a remington 28 gauge shotgun, .22 long rifle and .22 handgun? Wanted to get into it slowly, so I'm putting together lists of junk to buy at the same time. Have a cabinet, hearing protection etc., just stuck on cleaning. Any newbie advice for stuff I might be forgetting is welcome.

Shooting eye protection, cleaning kit and patches.

G96 and Balistol are 2 famous CPL, and you can't go wrong with Hoppe product.

I also bought a humidity gauge device and small dehumidifier to keep humidity constant aroundy cabinet area.

Buy stuff online for things from Tenda and Bullseye North that have free shipping once you hit certain value in your order. Compare prices for savings.

Great ideas, thank you. If I wear glasses already, is eye protection still important? I'm guessing so, since they prolly won't shatter like glass would. Dehumidifier is a good idea too.

Yes, you should still get one because you want to protect your glasses too. Try to research one that won't get foggy when you wear it over your glasses. There are shooting prescription out there but those can get pricy.

Another thing I also got is silicon gun sock, they also help reduce chance of rust and they prevent stuff from bumping into each other and scratches to your firearms

Right now is super muggy where I live, I can collect a 3/4 cup of water easy in about 4 nights of 8 hours continue running for my dehumidifier. Ideally should be 40 to 50 percent. I prefer 40 percent.

I don't wear safety glasses just my regular glasses. You will be fine. If you are paranoid get side protectors for them.

I got some safety prescription glasses from ArmouRX. It’s not outrageously pricey and the style can be used as normal glasses too but importantly is they are rated the same as general workplace safety glasses so they are impact and shatter resistant.

Might be worth considering if we plan to go to the range often and want that piece of mind.

22 is really dirty if you don't want to spend a lot of time cleaning, squirt a bit of CLP down the barrel and run a bore snake down it.
