Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions
This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.
In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

That is correct, both the buyer and seller will receive a transfer notification by email. Some sellers have signalled on forums that they sometimes do not receive the notification so I would suggest you forward them a copy once you receive it. The transfer notification allows you to go pick up your firearm and bring it home. At that point you will need to wait for your updated RPAL (with transport conditions) as well as the firearm registration to come by snail mail. Once you have received both of those, you can then bring your firearm to the range.
