Thanks for this info. I’ve been wondering myself as I just bought a pistol this weekend. I’m curious, where did you hear that pending transfers will be honoured?
I looked at the text of C-21, and I’ve been a bit worried that, the way they’ve worded it, it looks like certificates of registration straight-up cannot be issued to individuals once the law is passed. Obviously that would cause huge problems for people who have paid for their firearm and now can’t get it, as well as businesses who, through no fault of theirs, can’t give the customer what they bought. But then again, I get the impression that the government thinks that handgun owners are villains and they might not care about screwing them over like that.
If I have to wait several weeks to get my pistol, I’m fine with that. I just don’t want to find that I’m SOL once the law passes.
