Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

This is what i got told on the phone with the RCMP:If it got sent to the CFO than you've only crossed the first stage. The CFO is the one who calls your references and OKs the application. Once they finish doing whatever they need to do, it goes back to the RCMP where they approve, print and ship the license out.

Ah okay so not in the clear yet then. Hopefully hurries up and CFO processes it. Not expecting fast though so far process has been painfully slow.

I know, I'm in Ontario as well and I'm going on 5 months for my PAL.
