Is shooting an AR15 at the range also prohibited? I kind of don’t understand because today I shot CZ Bren chambered in .223 Rem and I didn’t get the impression there is a massive difference between AR15 and Bren.

Yes it’s illegal to take your ar-15 to the range. And yes the bren and ar-15 are functionally identical, same cartridge, same magazines and similar barrel lengths

So basically if you own an AR15 variant, all you can do is let it sit and rot until Trudeau takes it away from you? That sucks I was looking forward to shoot something AR today

You might be able to shoot something like an ar-180b to scratch that itch

Nope, even before they were illegal they were still restricted like pistols so no shooting on private property

I think the funnier part is that there have been Communist countries/governments with less restrictive gun laws
