Finally got through to the CFP today and updated my address. The guy said my application was sent off to the Ontario CFO. Does that mean it passed the RCMP background checks? I'm curious if I am in the clear on assuming I got my license approved assuming nothing bad with references. Would I be fairly safe to buy a safe when I find a deal?

This is what i got told on the phone with the RCMP:If it got sent to the CFO than you've only crossed the first stage. The CFO is the one who calls your references and OKs the application. Once they finish doing whatever they need to do, it goes back to the RCMP where they approve, print and ship the license out.

Ah okay so not in the clear yet then. Hopefully hurries up and CFO processes it. Not expecting fast though so far process has been painfully slow.

I know, I'm in Ontario as well and I'm going on 5 months for my PAL.
