In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Ontario PAL timeline:

Paperwork received - May 2nd, Initial review processed - Aug 2nd, Approved, license issued - Aug 15th

Man so lucky, I'm still waiting since February and they keep telling me to expect even longer delays. Was it PAL or RPAL as well?

Just PAL. First time applicant if that makes a difference as well.

I think RPAL generally takes a bit longer to process, but still that is a long wait! Hopefully it comes through for you soon! Has your credit card been charged yet?

Yes it was done 20 May! Honestly have no idea what the issue is. They won't even say if there's missing info or anything.

Easy to lose faith in our institutions when you get treatment like that. Keep trying! I've been hearing that if you call early (like when they open) you can get through a bit easier
