Should i mail my pal application with tracking?

Yes, otherwise u may be like one of those who wait a long time only to find out it’s been lost in mail.

On the flip side I did mail with tracking cause I wanted to know when it got there so I would know when the wait period was up and could start calling about it

Highly unlikely that Canada Post will lose a letter to a government agency that receives hundreds (thousands?) of applications per week.

They are much more likely to "lose" those gift cards you sent to your nieces for Xmas

I didn't because It's a waste of money IMO since they won't be contacting you for a good while. As long as you make sure the address on there is right then you won't need to worry. (I got my license)

when did you get yours? I mailed mine in around Jun18 and as of today (Aug 13) I can't find it on the status website nor have they deducted money from my mastercard. I'm getting a bit worried they lost it or something and I won't get my RPAL before the transfer ban....

it'll be 3 months as of their recieveing for it to show, they got mine may 3rd and it showed up, and my card was charged, on Aug 3.

May I ask how long after that did you manage to get your licence? A few days ago?

2ouke calling the chief officer help?

Thanks!

I still don't have my license, cards been charged and sitting on initial review has been completed, I'm hoping for it to be approved by Sept, but that's just a hope. unfortunately they're so behind because of covid that I don't think there's anything that can help

Indeed... At least your cc has been charged. Mine hasn't even touched yet :-/

Best of luck in getting yours soon, man.

bit of an update, I managed to get in contact with the provincial office and they told me they cannot find anything like my application in the system. This is... 2 months since I sent it in, so either I'm SOL and it's totally lost or I'm SOL it's lost in a pile somewhere in the office.

So.... disappointing (and super appreciative of the officer who responded to me). I guess I'll just wait until this whole rush is over, send it in again for my non restricted PAL.

hopefully it's just sitting in a pile, shit deal though, not sure if they'd have record of it if it's sitting in a pile pre initial review. wished they realize how messed up this system is. hope you get a a nice surprise sooner then later
