Just wanted to share this with you…

I just called the CAF (controlleur des armes à feu) in Québec and the lady told me that they were currently handling the May transfers …

Be patient ! 3-4 months delays

That information is incorrect unless you are referring to a first time buyer. I have a friend that received a June 6th transfer on August 8th. If it is your first purchase then yes I have another friend in that boat and he has yet to receive his transfer for a beginning of May purchase. In Quebec, there seems to be two queues, one for new owners and one for existing.

Edit: all mentioned transfers are all to Quebec residents.

Im not a new buyer and I just wanted to share some information I had from an employee here in QC this morning

I understand, not trying to discredit you. I am simply trying to tell you this information is incorrect. Between my group of friends we have many transfers in queue at the moment so I am trying to follow and extrapolate that information. If you give me the first 4 digits of your transfer I can let you know when the transfer took place more or less and when I believe it will clear. Keep in mind that even if you bought on the 31st, it does not mean your transfer was entered on that day.

Well glad to hear that it might be quicker then what the lady told me.
