Been waiting since June 9 for a handgun to be processed by the cfo. Does anyone know if the government will honor existing transfers before bill c21 comes full swing in the fall?

If the transfer is initiated before they freeze, then you'll be good to go.

You'll find this in the bill under Transitional Provisions.

Registration certificates — handguns 47 Section 12.‍2 of the Firearms Act, as enacted by section 17, does not apply in respect of a registration certificate for which an application was submitted in accordance with section 54 of that Act before the day on which that section 17 comes into force.

They've said they will but there's no real certainty there IMO.

The CSAAA was told by the CFP that all in process transfers would be allowed to complete.

Alberta CFO is working on June 4/5th purchases. I think Ontario is the same. You should be getting yours soon.

Ontario is still on May 30-June 1 according to a poster on GunNutz. The source was Tenda.

It's a guess. I'm not entirely sure when the politics will get around to implementing the bill.
