Handguns aren't 'banned' there's a freeze on transfers. If you already own one, you can still use it like normal. So no, ammo won't be restricted.

Further, there's many guns that aren't handguns that also shoot 9mm or .22 or any of the other various calibers. How would they know if you were buying 9mm for a non-restricted FX-9 as opposed to a handgun? Or .22 for a single shot bolt action rifle instead of your PPQ?

Ah thanks. Didnt consider that with the 9mm. Just bought a .357 magnum and finding .357 ammo not easy right now. Was just wondering if I should stock up or if Ill still be able to purchase in the future.

There's lever actions that are chambered in .357, you're good on that front.

As for finding stock, it's kinda shit everywhere right now. Just gotta get what you can.
