Is it worth calling the ON CFO to check on my PAL/RPAL application? RCMP told me it was sent to CFO on July 5th.

I know it will be next to impossible to get through so wondering if I should be trying or not.

UPDATE: called the CFO-ON and got through on the second try. Very friendly and helpful.

Don’t think 5 months from CFO is the norm at all looking at all the posted timelines. My application was received March 18th and transferred to CFO July 5th. That makes 4 weeks with CFO as of yesterday, and going on 6 months from RCMP receipt.

I’m just wondering if it’s worth trying to get through to CFO after they’ve had it for 4 weeks or if I should just wait.

I would call if they’ve had it for 4 weeks already and just ask for an update on the status of it or if they need anything from you/anything that you forgot to fill out etc etc. I called ON CFO last week to do the same. If you call right at 8:30 when they open you should get through. I was on hold 15-20 minutes before I got through but any other time of day I’ve never been able to even get on hold.
