Just got my credit card charged today for my RPAL upgrade. Sent my application in on the week of April 25-29th. Can't remember which day, so let's say on the 27th.

When can I start buying restricteds? On approval, issue?

Can I also buy multiple restricteds and just wait for my new card to be printed with the ATT, or do I need to wait for the new card?

I really want to hit the ground running, so I appreciate any help.

Once you see the message in the portal that it’s been approved/issued, your PAL number becomes an RPAL (you’ll get a new card in the mail, actually, I got one once approved .0002 then they sent another after 1st restricted purchase .0003). I made a purchase the day I saw that message update in the portal and no issues at all.

While waiting for approval, apply for a range membership if you don't already have one. It would be best to get started now since some ranges only do their orientations once a month. The NB CFO will request to see proof of a valid 2022 New Brunswick gun club membership in order to approve any transfer.

Thanks for the heads up. Fortunately I already have been a member at a club for a couple years.
