Concerned about the handgun freeze looming in the air.

I'm planning on purchasing a Kriss Vector SRB 9mm in a couple months. Is it classified as a handgun or rifle? I just want to be ahead of getting it, incase it is classified a handgun and the handgun freeze does come in the future.

Buy one with a longer barrel and use it for hunting.

No? Useless against rabbits and squirrels I would expect.

Wasting meat is actually an offense in hunting so squirrels for sure plus only 22LR is allowed to be shot “into the air” angle wise.

So you are saying, essentially, that you can't hunt small game with a shotgun which is several times more powerful than 9mm?

Which provincial hunting regs say that? I don't recall seeing it when I took the Hunter's Education course.

No I’m saying you can’t hunt squirrels with 9mm and 223. Rabbits and other prairie small ground game rifles are ok afaik.

Ok, I only see "centre fire rifle only" for some game. Nothing about calibre.

It wouldn't be ethical to use it on large game but a squirrel or rabbit headshot would work.
