Are you Canadian or American. Is it Restricted, Non,-Restricted, or Prohibited? Are you planning to do it soon (before Trudeau's hand gun "freeze")?

To take it in and out of the USA, You need to email a ATF form 6NIA. And get the approved form back. For the Canadian side um a little less sure of the process. I think you just stop in at the Canadian side on your way out and let them know, then on your way back (after stopping at the USA side to let them know you are taking it back out od USA) you would tell the Canadians you are bringing it back. The important thing is the approved form 6NIA, and always declare at the boarder.
