Do they even bother calling the references anymore?

Depends on your province and what you’re purchasing. I’m in QC, none of my references were ever called while getting my PAL/RPAL. It’s when I made my 1st restricted purchase back in OCT last year that they contacted both of them. They went through a 5-7 min interrogation with the QC CFO. The person then called me for a 5-7 minutes interrogation and then got my transfer approved. I honestly don’t know if any other provinces do this though.

It seems like it’s wen restricted is involved I only applied for a non restricted I just need some protection in the back kwoods so I thought a 12 gauge would be fine

my buddy and I applied for our rpals last year (so we already had pals). his spouse and references weren't called. my references weren't called.

I'm very peeved about this.

You waste so much time trying to find a good reference and get their signatures and then they don’t bother like wat if I was a crazy person . I’m not oviosly but like you know wat I mean
