Bought an MCR from Dominion outdoors this week. It's being shipped with Canada Post. I'm assuming they make you go pick it up at the post office and don't leave a firearm at your front door right?

Usually, but not always.
You can visit the Can'tpost website and change your delivery instructions for tracked packages.

Every firearm that ive had CanadaPost deliver had been dropped off at the nearest shoppers drugmart for pickup.

My postie rang the doorbell and dropped of a rifle at my door Friday. YMMV.

normally I sign for then at the postal outlet at Rexall.

Check the site, if it says on your delivery "card for pick-up" its going to the post office.

It IS retailer dependent. I have had an AR15 and X95 delivered to my door, two handguns went for pick-up only which I strongly prefer for obvious reasons.

Depends on the delivery person I reckon. I've had 2 guns left outside without a signature or anything.
